The augmentations are a nice addition, expensive equipment for your best soldiers. The Pure are annoying to fight, especially in the early game, and can probably ruin a run if faced without proper preparation so I understand why some people get frustrated by this DLC. Why not have the option to side with them and become a full robot yourself, getting a new ending too while we're at it?
True, they're insane but just look at the other factions, you'll have to agree they'd fit right in still. Yes, the Pure faction is wasted the moment it turns up - why are they not added as a full faction?
TLDR: While I do not recommend buying Phoenix Point at all, if you decided to buy it, you should probably get this DLC.
